The Nemaha Central Volleyball team posted one of their best seasons in school history in 2022 as they finished runner-up in Class 3A behind repeat Champion Heritage Christian.

The Thunder had plenty of highlights during the season including a 38-match winning streak and Big 7 League Title. They won their Sub-State in dominating fashion and earned the #1-seed at the State Tournament.

The Thunder seniors were Elli Rusche, Julie Rottinghaus, Gracyn Lierz, Ella Larkin, Addy Holthaus, Lillian Schultejans, and Samantha Nordhus.

Addy Holthaus earned her second career All-State selection while Ella Larkin and Cali Honeyman were also named to the All-State team. The Thunder also led the Big 7 in All-League selections with five.

Holthaus and Larkin were unanimous All-League selections while Nordhus also made All-League. Honeyman and Schultejans were named Honorable Mention.

Nemaha Central would finish their runner-up season with a record of 46-2 while losing only seven total sets all season.
