ACCHS Tops Jackson Heights to Win Second Straight NEKL Title

The ACCHS Tigers defeated the Jackson Heights Cobras on Friday night 18-6 to win their second straight Northeast Kansas League Title.

It's the first back-to-back titles for the Tigers since 1970-1971.

Both teams entered the game undefeated in league play as ACCHS was 5-0 and Jackson Heights was 3-0.

ACCHS (6-1, 6-0) have now won three straight games since their lone loss of the season against defending 2A State Champion Rossville.

The Tigers will host Silver Lake in their final game of the regular season with Silver Lake needing a win to capture the District Title.

For the Cobras (3-4, 3-1), its been a tough stretch since their 3-0 start to the season as they've now lost four straight games.

Jackson Heights will host Onaga in a district matchup next week to close out the regular season, a game you can hear on KMZA 92.1 FM
