Preseason Wrestling Rankings Released by Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association

The first rankings of the 2021-2022 wrestling season are out from the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association.

In Class 4A, the Holton Wildcats are ranked third heading into the season behind Chanute and Andale.

Class 4A Individual Rankings:

Sophomore Tucker Gilliland (Holton) - #3 at 113 pounds

Junior Jayden Fletcher (Holton) - #1 at 160 pounds

Sophomore Dalton Roush (Holton) - #1 at 220 pounds

Senior Dustin Chermok (Holton) - #2 at 285 pounds

In Class 3-2-1A, the Marysville Bulldogs are ranked 9th heading into the season.

Class 3-2-1A Individual Rankings:

Sophomore Gable Fredrickson (Marysville) - #1 at 113 pounds

Sophomore Cullen Wikle (Sabetha) - #6 at 113 pounds

Sophomore Colin Menold (Sabetha) - #6 at 126 pounds

Senior Mason Scholz (ACCHS) - #2 at 132 pounds

Junior Josh Herrmann (Sabetha) - #4 at 170 pounds

Senior Beau Wassenberg (Marysville) - #5 at 182 pounds

Senior Patrick Smith (Marysville) - #4 at 195 pounds

Senior Justin Miller (Oskaloosa) - #5 at 285 pounds

Also, there are a couple of local girls in the Division-II rankings to start the season.

Girls Division-II Individual Rankings:

Senior Macey Gross (Holton) - #3 at 132 pounds

Junior Allison King (Oskaloosa) - #1 at 155 pounds
