Four Area Teams Highlight Week Six High School Football Rankings

The newest set of state high school football rankings have been released featuring four area teams after five weeks of play.

In Class 3A the Perry Lecompton Kaws continue to be ranked second with an unbeaten 5-0 record following a 41-13 victory over Winfield Friday night.

The Class 2A rankings continue to hold just one area team as Maur Hill-Mount Academy is ranked fifth after a 53-6 beat down of ACCHS.

In Class 1A Centralia is still ranked second in the state rankings with a 4-1 record following a 46-6 victory over Jeff County North last week.

The final ranked area team comes in 8-man II and is a new team into the rankings as the Frankfort Wildcats are ranked fifth following a 36-14 victory over previously ranked Axtell.
