Area high school volleyball teams continued their seasons Saturday at the Silver Lake Invitational and despite suffering their first loss of the season Sabetha still claimed the tournament championship.

The Lady Jays went 5-1 on the day with their only loss coming to Royal Valley while picking up wins over Rossville, Silver Lake, Perry Lecompton, St. Mary’s, and Jeff West.

As to Royal Valley the Lady Panthers finished in fourth place after a 4-2 day with wins over Jeff West, Perry Lecompton, Sabetha, and St. Mary’s while falling to Rossville and Silver Lake.

The only other two area teams in action were Perry Lecompton and Jeff West and the Kaws finished fifth with a 2-4 while Jeff West failed to pick up a win on the day.
