Jeff County North Volleyball Claims Riley County Invite

The high school volleyball season continued Saturday with area teams competing at the Riley County Invite and it was the Jeff County North Chargers who claimed the tournament championship.

JCN went 3-1 on the day and opened with a 2-1 record in pool play with wins over St. Mary’s and Holton but a loss to Riley County.

That 2-1 record still put the Chargers into the championship match and a rematch with Riley County which JCN won in straight sets.

The only other area team competing at Riley County was Holton who took third place with a 2-2 record after a win over St. Mary’s in the third-place match.
