The high school wrestling season continued Thursday night for the Sabetha Bluejays who hosted a double dual featuring Rock Port and Auburn and the Jays fell just short to Auburn but dominated Rock Port.

The Bluejays fell 42-41 to Auburn behind seven wins on the day as Cameron Harrel earned a forfeit win while Trevin LaVoie at 152 pounds, Tristan Wittwer at 170, Walker Lowdermilk 182, Colby Tinklin at 195, Jared Kruse at 220 and Carson Ukele at 285 pounds all picked up wins via fall.

Against Rock Port the Bluejays won 54-12 behind only one win via fall by Walker Lowdermilk at 170 pounds while the other remaining wins came via forfeit.

Next up for Sabetha is another home meet on Saturday as the Bluejays are set to host a dual tournament featuring Auburn, HTRS, Riverside, Silver Lake and Washburn Rural JV beginning at 9 am.
