Saturday morning Sabetha hosted a high school volleyball invitational featuring several area teams and the Holton Lady Cats claimed the tournament championship by beating the host Bluejays in the title match.

Holton got to the championship by going 3-1 in pool play with wins over Wamego, Marysville, and Hiawatha but a loss to Sabetha before beating Nemaha Central in the semifinals and avenging the loss to the Bluejays in the championship.

As to Sabetha they went a perfect 4-0 in pool play and beat Concordia in the semifinals to take second, while Nemaha Central finished third by beating Concordia in the third-place match.

Other results from the Sabetha Invitational include Pleasant Ridge who went 1-3 while ACCHS finished winless on the day.
