Zone Tournament Assignments -- Junior Legion A, Senior Legion AA, Senior Legion AAA

Wednesday night saw only one Northeast Kansas League legion baseball team in action as Doniphan County played host to Falls City in non-league play and won handily 9-0 in five innings. 

Doniphan County took control in the bottom of the second inning scoring five runs and added a run in the third and three more in the fourth, while they stymied Falls City to earn the 9-0 win in five innings. 

Reid Greaser tossed the complete game shutout giving up just four hits and a walk in five innings and struckout five. Offensively Levi Watts, Zeb Speer and Wil Smith each went 2-2 at the plate to led Doniphan County at the plate. Watts tallied a run scored and two RBI, while Speer had three RBI's with a run scored and Smith had two runs scored and RBI. 

The win improves Doniphan County to 14-4 on the season. 

Legion baseball in the NEKL is set to continue Thursday night as Silver Lake will host Oskaloosa, while Seneca will host Corning in League play. Sabetha will host Fairbury in junior and senior legion action.
