Northeast Kansas League Hands Out All-League Volleyball Honors

Plenty of competition in the Northeast Kansas League on the volleyball court but ultimately the League title belonged to the Valley Falls Dragons for the third straight year. All-League honors have been awarded for the Northeast Kansas League in volleyball. 

Valley Falls for the third-straight year claimed the NEKL title finishing 15-1 in the League and 30-8 and overall on the season. Senior, Mallory Bruns, junior, Rachel Frakes and sophomore, Reagan Kirkwood both earned first team All-League, while freshman, Jaci Brinker got the nod for honorable mention All-League honors. 

Jefferson County North Chargers took second in the NEKL with a 14-2 League record and finished the season 33-7 on the year. Junior, Ravyn Jobbins and senior, Jentry Seichepine each picked up first team All-League honors, while junior, Annabelle Vaught got the nod for honorable mention honors. 

Immaculata Raiders were the only other NEKL team to finish with a winning League record notching a 13-3 mark in NEKL play and 26-11 on the season. Senior, Ally Campbell and freshamn, Karli Schmidt both picked up first team All-League honors, while senior, Jordan Sachse earned honorable mention. 

The Horton Chargers and Pleasant Ridge Rams each finished 8-8 in the League to tie for fourth in the NEKL. Horton posted a 14-20 overall record and had junior, Daspin Bruning earn first team All-League honors, while senior, Abby Ross picked up honorable mention honors. The Rams posted a 13-22 mark overall mark on the year as senior, Mallory Wagner earned first team All-League and senior, Madi Weber picked up honorable mention honors. 

Oskaloosa Bears finished sixth in the NEKL going 6-10 with an 11-26 overall mark on the year. Freshman, Jenna Pfau earned first team All-League for the Bears, while junior, Brylie Bassett snagged honorable mention honors. 

Maur Hill-Mount Academy posted a 22-17 overall record on the year but finished just 5-11 in the NEKL. Senior, Hana Ronnebaum got the nod for first team All-League honors, while senior, Lexi Griffin nabbed honorable mention honors. 

Jackson Heights went 3-13 in NEKL play and posted a 10-26 mark on the season. Cobra senior, Hannah Williams picked up first team All-League honors, while junior, Abby Williams eanred honorable mention.

McLouth Bulldogs were unable to win a NEKL matchup going 0-16 in the NEKL but finished 5-30 on the season overall. Senior, Katie Gill earned honorable mention honors for the Bulldogs on the year.
