Tierra Williams Of Auburn Big 10 Field Athlete of Week

(KLZA)-- Nebraska track and field junior Tierra Williams, from Auburn, has earned her first Big Ten Field Athlete of the Week award, the conference office announced on Wednesday.

Williams earned the honor after posting the top triple jump mark in the nation over the weekend. Her personal best of 43-9 3/4 (13.35m) won her the Texas Invitational and ranks seventh in NU outdoor history.

Williams, the Big Ten indoor triple jump and long jump champion, leads the Big Ten in the outdoor triple jump and is third in the long jump (20-9).
