Mound City Girls Advance to Final Four in Columbia

(KLZA)-- The Mound City Panther girls basketball team improved to 28-1 Saturday defeating Norborne 60-36 to advance to the Final Four in Columbia beginning Thursday. 

Tess Phillips scored 13 points in the third quarter to lead Mound City to the win.  Kendey Eaton and Kameron Freemeyer also scored in double digits for Mound City.  

The Panthers held Norborne to 36 points in the game and did not allow a double-digit scorere.

Mound City will travel to Columbia Thursday to play the Glasgow Yellowjackets a team that is 24-5 on the season.

Also in the Class 1 Girls Final Four is Naylor, 22-7 and Walnut Grove 22-9.
