Mound City Teams Lose District Finals

The Mound City Boys and Girls basketball teams fought hard but cam up just short of District Titles Friday night at Nodaway-Holt High School in Graham, Missouri. 

In the Boys game North Andrew defeated the Panthers 44-42 when a Mile Loucks try at a buzzer-beater to tie the game just missed. Mound City fought back from a 12-pint deficit late the third quarter to get within strikign distance.  

Mound City finishes the year 22-6. 

In the girls game Friday night North Andrew defeated Mound City 40-34 stretching a very tight score out to 6 in the last seconds of the game.  

The game was moved up one nigth due to the weather forecast.  The game was tight the entire way but Cardinals advance to the Sectionals with the win.  Mound Cty completes the year 18-10.
