Big 7 All League Volleyball Honors
The Big 7 has released the All- League Volleyball honors following the 2014 season. Six of the nine league teams posted a winning record this year and Jeff West won the regular season title with a record of 13-3. Holton finished runner-up with a 12-4 mark in league action while Royal Valley and Nemaha Central each went 11-5. Sabetha and ACCHS also had winning campaigns this year.
Royal Valley and Nemaha Central represented the Big 7 at state competition and the Lady Panthers in their first-ever state volleyball appearance brought home a third place trophy in Class 4A Division II. Nemaha Central, meanwhile, made it to state in their first season as the Thunder in Class 3A and finished with a League high 32 match victories.
Below are the All League and Honorable Mention selection as voted on by the nine league coaches for 2014. League Champ Jeff West led the way with a trio of all league picks, while state qualifiers Nemaha Central and Royal Valley each had two all league selections and two others earn honorable mention.
