KWU Men’s Soccer Blanks Friends

The Kansas Wesleyan Men’s Soccer team continued to remain atop the KCAC standings picking up a 2-0 victory over the Friends Falcons on Saturday night in Wichita.
The match was scoreless until the 76th minute when Joe Robb (FR/Chesterfield, England) put the Coyotes ahead 1-0 with a goal. Jesse Lennon (SO/Salina, Kan.) scored the second goal of the match for the Coyotes in the 80th minute to put the Coyotes ahead 2-0.
The match was a defensive juggernaut the rest of the time as the first 75 minutes were without a score.
Wesleyan was held to just four shots, three of them on frame, in the match while Friends had 14 total shots.Alex Montiel (SR/La Puente, Calif.) picked up the win between the pipes with five saves.
The Coyotes will look to remain unbeaten in the conference this week hosting Tabor on Wednesday evening and Bethany on Saturday as part of Homecoming activities.
