Eight Bobcat Baseball Players Earn All Conference Honors

Eight Peru State baseball players earned Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) recognition as voted on by the coaches and recently announced by conference officials.

Earning HAAC All-Conference First Team honors were junior infielder Randy Santiesteban (Hialeah, Fla.) and junior pitcher Miguel Navarro (San Jacinto, Calif.). Named to the All-Conference Second Team were junior third baseman Seth Walston (Hemet, Calif.), junior outfielder Mike Melendez (Hollywood, Fla.), senior catcher Jake Wright (Freeport, Fla.), and senior designated hitter Derrick Davis (Orange Park, Fla.). Junior second baseman Josh Alonzo (Riverside, Calif.) was placed on the honorable mention list.

In addition, senior first baseman Tommy Barnes (Cusseta, Ga.) was named to the HAAC's Rawlings Gold Glove Team.
