Tiger Teams Triumphant in Tuesday Track Triangular

(KTNC) - The Falls City girls’ and boys’ teams won a triangular track meet with HTRS and Doniphan West Tuesday in Falls City.
Girls’ team results show Falls City first with 86 points, HTRS second with 49 points, and Doniphan West third with 38.
Falls City won 8 events, including all three relays. Individual first place finishes were turned in by Alyssa Frederick in the 100-meter dash, Mahlory Vice in the 100-meter hurdles, Krystal Samqua in the 1600-meter run, Lainey Larsen in the 3200-meter run, and Brooke Scheitel in the 800-meter run.
For HTRS, Logan Standerford won both the shot put and discus, and Kendall Werts won the 300-meter hurdles.
Doniphan West's Payton Leach won both the 200 and 400-meter dashes.
In the boys’ team standings, Falls City won 10 of 13 events and totaled 99.5 points, followed by HTRS with 43.5 and Doniphan West with 35.
Lee Huettner won both the long jump and triple jump, and Falls City also got first place finishes from Anthony Baker in the 3200-meters, Reese Hogue in the discus, Tucker Merz in the shot put, Zach Jordening in the high jump, Cody Schawang in the 400-meter dash, and Jordy Stoller in the 200-meter dash.
For HTRS, Jacob Railsback won the pole vault.
Doniphan West got event wins from Lane Spiker in the 100-meter dash and Kody Collins in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles.
